Heidi St. John
Heidi St. John earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Valdosta State University. She has gained experience working in the hospital setting on the acute as well as rehab floors, the public school systems, and has spent the past 13 years working in the private practice setting exclusively with pediatrics.
Over the years Heidi has become increasingly interested and experienced in the areas of Apraxia of speech and sensory based feeding disorders. She has enjoyed working with children of all ages with varying diagnoses including Down Syndrome, Apraxia of Speech, Autism, Pervasive Developmental Delay, Cerebral Palsy, Receptive/Expressive language delays, and Phonological disorders. Her passion to work with children and help them gain access to the world of successful communication is a motivating factor that drives her therapy sessions. She sees each child as their own individual being, regardless of any diagnosis, and helps them gain the skills necessary to thrive.
Heidi was raised in Bradenton, FL and loves the chance to return home to "beach-bum" whenever she can! In her spare time, she enjoys biking The Beltline with her husband and two small children and experimenting (both in her own kitchen, as well as restaurants!) with all things gluten and dairy free!
Heidi is certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is licensed by the Georgia State Board of Examiners in Speech and Language Pathology and Audiology.
